The FBI has charged a 46-year-old Arizona polygamist cult leader with taking 20 wives, many of them minors, the youngest of whom was 9 years old.

According to the investigation, he even tried to marry his own daughter.

According to FBI agents, the wives were trafficked across state lines in a trailer, forced to use a bucket instead of a toilet while the self-proclaimed prophet drove two Bentleys, hiding his gains behind a fictitious real estate business.

Samuel Rapilli Bateman, as well as his accomplices, are accused of participating in the trafficking of minors for the purpose of criminal sexual activity between May 2020 and November 2021, and the crimes were committed in the states of Arizona, Utah, Nevada and Nebraska, writes FoxNews .

The investigation revealed that on Aug. 28, 2022, Bateman, with the help of his supporters, obstructed justice by destroying important incriminating records, federal prosecutors said.

Bateman is a self-proclaimed prophet of the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ and the New Saints, whose members practice polygamy.

According to the FBI's investigation, Bateman had about 50 followers and over 20 wives, many of them minors, mostly under the age of 15.

Witness affidavits reveal that Bateman invoked "Heavenly Father's will" to encourage his followers, including underage children, to engage in sexual orgies and relied on their total obedience to achieve his own goals.

Some of Bateman's wives were wives or daughters of his followers.

The alleged pastor is also accused of trying to marry his own daughter.

Revelations made by a witness prove that Bateman visited his family home in Colorado City, Arizona in 2020, arriving in a large SUV crammed with women and girls, introducing them all as his wives.

According to the witness, the youngest girl was born in 2011, which means that at that time the child was 9 years old.

The witness also described video conversations during which Bateman and all participants were completely naked and engaged in various group sexual acts.

According to him, during a ritual called "Binding the Brothers," Bateman often had sex with the wives of his male followers while underage girls and older men watched.

According to his testimony, Bateman owned two luxury Bentley limousines.

On November 1, 2021, "Heavenly Father" ordered Bateman to give "the most precious thing he has - the virginity of his girls" to his followers.

A group sex act ensued, in which, according to video and audio evidence, one of the girls involved was only 12 years old.

"The girls were crying and saying it hurt, but Bateman said they sacrificed their virtues for God.

God was going to restore their virginity," the witness affidavit said.

Bateman declared himself a prophet in 2019, taking the idea for his cult from Warren Jeffs, nicknamed "Uncle Warren" by his followers, who allegedly had 78 wives, including minors.

In 2006, Jeffs was placed on the FBI's Ten Most Wanted list because he was on the run from authorities in the state of Utah after being accused of molesting minors.

He is currently serving a life sentence, writes "Telegraph".
