A fatal road accident occurred in Astara region.

According to the information provided by APA's southern bureau, the incident was recorded in the mountainous Motlayataq village of the region, in the Ulesi mountains, in the morning today.

The "Niva" brand car driven by Zakir Lelayev, a resident of Motlayataq village, born in 1967, went out of control and fell from a height into a valley.

As a result of the incident, the driver died on the spot.

The passenger in the car, the son of the driver, Ruslan Zakir oglu Aydinzade, born in 1995, received various injuries.

The chief inspector of the Lankaran regional group of the MIA press service, police captain Mahammad Rzayev told APA that on December 5, at around 9:30 a.m., Zakir Lalayev, a resident of Motlayatag village of Astara region, was driving a Niva car in the snowy Askhanakaran village. lost control on a sharp turn on the road.

As a result, the car overturned 25-30 meters into the valley and crashed into a tree.

The driver died on the spot, and his son Ruslan Aydenzade was injured and taken to the hospital.
