Joe and Jill walked along the green, glowing Christmas trees, hand in hand, on their way to the reception.

The beautiful Jill wore an evening dress with a large floral print by Monique Lhuillier and blue heeled pumps.

And in her hands she had a Tyler Ellis clutch.

The First Lady of the United States did styling and intense evening makeup, wore several pendants around her neck and did a French manicure.

President Biden wore a black suit with a white shirt and black bow tie.

The prestigious award ceremony was also attended by George and Amal Clooney.

Amal dazzled on the red carpet in a gorgeous off-the-shoulder Valentino gown.

Note that the Kennedy Center Prize has been awarded annually since 1978 to individuals for their contribution to the development of American culture.

Awards are presented in the presence of the President of the United States.
