The trial of the former head of "Baku Steel Company" Rasim Mammadov's criminal case continued.

APA reports that the lawyers of the accused person, Parviz Mammadov and Zibeyda Sadygov, made a defense speech in the trial held at the Baku Court of Serious Crimes today.

The lawyers said that Rasim Mammadov had nothing to do with the charges, and that they did not agree with the 15-year prison sentence requested by the public prosecutor.

The lawyers asked the court to acquit.

The court gave Rasim Mammadov time until December 9 for the last word.

It should be noted that Rasim Mammadov, who was the head of "Baku Steel Company", was arrested by the State Security Service.

He is charged with 179.4 of the Criminal Code (embezzlement or embezzlement, especially when it is committed by causing a large amount of damage), 193.3.2 (false entrepreneurship, especially with obtaining a large amount of income), 308.2 (abuse of official powers, when it causes serious consequences) and 313- is charged with articles (forgery of position).

The damage caused in the criminal case was estimated at 185 million manats.
