Last weekend in the USA, in Washington, the Kennedy Center Award ceremony took place.

This is an annual award given to individuals in the performing arts for their contributions to American culture.

It has been awarded since 1978 in December and usually in the presence of the US president, and the ceremony itself ends with a gala concert at the Kennedy Center Opera House.

George wore a classic black tuxedo with a bow tie and white shirt for the ceremony.

Around his neck he wore a rainbow ribbon - the logo of the ceremony, symbolizing the spectrum of many skills within the performing arts.

Amal, on the other hand, shone on the red carpet in a stunning form-fitting Valentino dress with a dropped shoulder line.

She complemented the bow with elegant styling, jewelry and a clutch.

Earlier, a gala dinner was held, also dedicated to this event.
