A road accident in the Garadagh district of Baku caused the stoppage of trains on the railway.

APA reports that the incident took place in Lokbatan settlement.

The driver of the "Ford" car with state registration number 99-PN-373 lost control of the steering wheel while driving on the bridge.

After that, he drove the car over the bridge.

The vehicle first hit a high-voltage overhead line on the railway.

Then the car crashed into a retaining wall.

At that time, the employees of the Garadagh District Police Department, who were on duty in the area, pulled the driver out of the car.

After the driver was rescued, the car caught fire.

Three equipment and live brigades of the State Fire Protection Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations from Garadagh and Binagadi regions were involved in the area.

The injured was placed in the intensive care unit of the Clinical Medical Center in a serious condition.

Due to the incident, the movement of trains on the Baku-Kazakh-Aghstafa route was stopped.

At present, employees of the railway administration are carrying out repair and restoration works.
