"Mingxing Pavilion" is now handed down to the second generation of brothers Su Junyi and Su Junrong. Junrong is the current head of the group, and Junyi's son Su Jiahong has established a subgroup of "Mingxing Pavilion" for the third generation. According to Su’s family, Su Jiahong’s 13-year-old son has received prenatal education since he was born. He can sleep when the gongs and drums are loud, and can perform puppetry. He has shown various talents and interests in puppetry since he was a child. It is hoped that it will become the fourth generation to pass on the cause.

Emphasis on the mother tongue and multi-ethnic culture innovation fusion of Hokkien, Hakka, and the original language into the play

"Su Jia Ban Ming Xing Ge" now mainly performs Taiwan temple fairs, and accepts puppets made by other troupes. Su Aming, who has retired, occasionally shows up to talk about plays, showing his unique style of humor and wit.

The concept of "Sujia Class" is not limited to the family, but also extends to the promotion of puppetry. As long as there is free time, it will go to various schools to teach children to perform puppetry and learn their mother tongue at the same time.

And since there are not only Hokkien people but also Hakkas and aborigines in Chaozhou Township and the nearby Laiyi Township, when they went to the school to promote, they saw aboriginal children performing puppetry in the aboriginal language, and thought that the puppetry story also Can respect all kinds of mother tongues and present local culture faithfully.

Therefore, Su Junrong tried to adapt the story of a Paiwan princess in the Qing Dynasty into an original script "Neishe Ma". Not only did he make a puppet in Paiwan costumes for this purpose, but he also invited Paiwan to speak and sing. Singers from different ethnic groups performed together, and the response was quite enthusiastic. The performance video got a lot of hits on youtube (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YaIHg07tMKM&t=327s).

For the Su family, every performance is a presentation of literature, art, music, painting and other arts. They are rooted in the ground, respect the spirit of diverse ethnic groups, and are compatible with tradition and innovation. Through puppetry, people can see the beauty of Taiwan. .
