"In Bulgaria, the average life expectancy of men is 70 years and decreasing, and the retirement age is 65 years," he added.

The professor commented on the onset of the flu season and advised people not to rush to take medicine as long as the temperature is not too high.

"We do not lower the temperature to 38 degrees.

It increases the body's defenses.

For children, aspirin is prohibited because it has side effects.

For paracetamol, which is the most widespread drug in the world against fever, a side effect was discovered that is not yet written in the leaflets, because medicine discovered it a few months ago," explained Dr. Marchev.

He specified that many drugs and diseases affect a person's behavior.

"A driver who has drunk 1 gram of paracetamol overtakes more riskily on the road.

A gambler who has taken 1 gram of paracetamol gambles riskier'.

The nose becomes blocked because the inflammation has widened the blood vessels.

Then drops with a vasoconstrictor effect are applied, thereby unblocking the nose.

When the nose runs non-stop, anti-allergic drugs are used.

It makes the nose stop running,” the cardiologist added.

Prof. Marchev recalled that a wet cough is not suppressed, but alleviated by giving drugs that make the sputum more liquid, while a dry cough that scratches the chest must be suppressed with another type of drug.

We want our patients to self-medicate, but they should go to a doctor if they have chest pain, a disturbance in consciousness, breathing difficulties and deviations in pulse and blood, added the cardiologist.
