People's artist of Georgia, theater and film actor Nugzar Sharia died at the age of 82.

APA reports with reference to TASS that on Friday Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Garibashvvili expressed his condolences to the actor's relatives at the meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers.

"He will always have a special place in the history of Georgian cinema," the minister emphasized.

Sharia was born in 1941.

In the 60s of the last century, he acted in "Absalom and Eteri", "The Law of the Mountains" and other films.

He lived in Germany and the USA since the 70s.
