The film tells about young Belarusians who, after fleeing the country, are looking for their place in the world - between fun pastimes and nostalgia, a feeling of hopelessness and bad news from their homeland.

, who became the winner of the Belarusian contest "Northern Lights".

"Mara" tells about witnessing the presidential elections and protests in Belarus.

In the tape, the chronicle is mixed with stage shots - dreams in which the main character escapes from reality.

The director of the film, Sasha Kulak, left Belarus at the age of 16, and in 2020 returned to her homeland to participate in the fate of the country.

She says that for her this film is an exploration of fear.

more than 50 world-class documentaries will be shown.

Topics vary: war crimes in Ukraine and overcoming wartime trauma;

investigation into the murder of a Slovak journalist;

methods of fascist propaganda, relevant even today;

Chilean history of street rebellion;

observed the work of reporters of one of the last independent TV channels in India;

recording the last moments before the fall of Kabul in August 2021. A separate section of the program is devoted to issues of the relationship between animals and people.
