With a new collector's coin, the British Royal Mint pays tribute to the legendary rock group "The Rolling Stones" on the occasion of their 60th anniversary.

The £5 coin features the silhouettes of the iconic band members - frontman Mick Jagger, guitarists Keith Richards and Ronnie Wood and the late drummer Charlie Watts - as well as the Rolling Stones name written in what is believed to be a classic 1973 font.

The band returned to the big stage this year with their European Sixty tour, which ended in Berlin in August.

"We are delighted to be honored through an official UK coin. Even more importantly, its launch coincides with our 60th anniversary," the group said in a statement included in the Royal Mint's announcement.

The new coin is the fifth in the Music Legends series, dedicated to legendary British artists.

Queen, Elton John, David Bowie and the Hu have already been honored in this way.

On the Mint's website, coins from the "Musical Legends" series range between 15 lira and 465 lira.
