Yanga club has reached the end today of playing 49 games without being tied after receiving the first defeat of 2-1 goals from Ihefu FC and failing to reach 50 games. The game was played at the Highland Estate Mbeya Stadium.

The last time the team was closed was in 2021 against Azam FC, Prince Dube's goal.

Despite being closed, Yanga continues to be at the top of the Premier League standings with 32 points, the same as Azam FC with one game ahead.

Ihefu's goals were scored by Never Tigere in the 39th minute, with Faulo's kick and Kenny Kissu's corner kick in the 62nd minute. Yanga's goal was scored by Yannick Bangala in the ninth minute of the first half.

Yanga now has one game left in hand, where until now they have played 13 games, Azam and Simba have 14. After that game is played, all teams will be equal.
