The procedure for recognition of court judgments of foreign states is being improved.

APA reports that this was reflected in the proposed amendment to the Criminal Procedure Code, which was discussed at today's session of the Milli Majlis.

The draft law was prepared for the implementation of Article 25 (confiscated property) of the Council of Europe Convention on the Legalization, Search, Seizure, Confiscation of Proceeds of Crime and the Financing of Terrorism.

Pursuant to that Article, a Party shall dispose of property confiscated pursuant to Articles 23 and 24 of this Convention in accordance with its national legislation and administrative procedures.

When a party acts on the basis of a request submitted by the other party in accordance with Articles 23 and 24 of this Convention, the parties shall, to the extent permitted by national legislation and when a corresponding request is submitted,
