A full-scale invasion resulted in the work of designer Svitlana Volyk in unexpected ornaments, in which there was a place for bairaktars, and cotton, and ears of wheat.

The designer created embroideries dedicated to the cities of Ukraine: Sumy, Kyiv, Irpin - each has its own ornament.

The only thing in common is that they appeared during the Great War.

Each dress is special, says the designer.

In black and gray, she depicted her native, unconquered Sumy.

A lot of sun is Odesa.

There she was caught up in the war.

Blakyt Dnieper and cathedrals are her favorite Kyiv.

She decorated the Mariupil embroidered shirt with tridents and patriotic slogans - she misses him very much.

On many embroideries - golden ears of corn - they appeared when wheat fields were massively burning due to enemy shelling.

New ornaments were born almost every day, says Svitlana, however, they remained on paper for a long time.

The ZSU was inspired to start work again.

All embroideries appeared during the liberation of Kherson.

Now the designer is looking for threads that glow in the dark, because there are power outages everywhere.

The designer is very proud of the fact that her vyshyvankas are worn at the front and is already preparing vyshyvankas for Victory Day.
