What tea promotes weight loss

Research shows that tea polyphenols, especially black tea polyphenols, help control weight by reducing the absorption of calories from the gut, thereby reducing body fat.


According to the nutritionist, green tea also helps increase the metabolic rate in some people.

Tea polyphenols may also counteract the decrease in metabolic rate seen during weight loss, and thus may be beneficial for weight maintenance after weight loss.

The polyphenol content in tea also promotes a healthy gut microbial population through a prebiotic effect.

Previous studies have shown that tea polyphenols can reduce gut microbes associated with obesity and increase gut microbes associated with weight loss.

A study of 111 female and male tea drinkers found that regular consumption of black tea for three months improved body fat distribution compared to a caffeinated control drink, she explained.

How many cups a day do you need to drink to lose weight

To speed up the weight loss process, dieters should drink at least four to five cups a day, ideally in the afternoon.

Thanks to extensive research into the benefits of tea drinking—both in observational studies and in clinical trials—scientists have settled on four to five cups a day as the optimal intake to provide the necessary amount of natural polyphenol compounds.

Of course, tea should be drunk without sugar and cookies.

If you absolutely cannot give up sweetness in your tea, try using a low-calorie sweetener or gradually reduce the amount of added sugar.
