The other day, an official reception was held in Buckingham Palace in honor of the Knights of the Order of Merit, to which many artists were invited, including the famous British artist

David Hockney

.

The artist's works have always been bright, but this also applies to his own style.

At the reception at the palace, 85-year-old Hockney appeared in a spectacular Savile Row checkered suit and checkered tie, as well as famous bright yellow Crocs shoes.

Usually, it is not customary to appear in such shoes at state receptions, but an exception was made for David.

Moreover, the artist's appearance among all the other guests became a real burst of color, because everyone else, dressed according to the protocol, was in black suits and strict lacquered shoes.

King Charles III was also stunned by the image of the artists and even complimented him: "These yellow galoshes are very well matched to your image," he said in a conversation with Hockney, according to The Guardian.
