The restraining order against Sahila Mammadova, a member of the gang accused of blackmailing the well-known prosecutor Tariyel Gurbanov, has been changed.

APA reports that a decision was made in this regard at the meeting chaired by judge Azer Pashayev at the Baku Court of Serious Crimes.

Sahila Mammadova was arrested in the courtroom.

The reason for changing the gatimkan measure was based on the accused's delay in court proceedings.

It should be noted that Natig Nuriyev, Umman Aliyev, Parvin Yusifov, Alakbar Nuriyev, Ilgar Aliyev, Elnur Eldarov and Sahila Mammadova are accused of forming a criminal gang and blackmailing prosecutor Tariel Gurbanov and Mirvasif Mahmudov.

Only Sahila Mammadova was under house arrest from the persons accused under Article 182.2.1 of the Criminal Code (demanding by threats, when committed by a group of persons who conspired in advance).

Arrest measures have been chosen for the others from the beginning.

It should be noted that for a long time Tariyel Gurbanov was the deputy head of the law enforcement control department of the State Security, emergency situations and border service agencies of the Prosecutor General's Office.

Tariyel Gurbanov, who was relieved of his post in March of this year, was later appointed senior assistant of the Absheron district prosecutor.
