The princess was in love with Philip from a very young age when she first saw him when she was 13 years old.

She went to the altar at the age of 21.

Her father, King George VI, wrote a touching letter which he gave to his daughter on her wedding day and which was read during the wedding reception.

It was a special letter for Elizabeth.

But there is one more thing that is considered very valuable in the monarch's personal box.

This is a wedding gift from Philip.

The prince presented his beloved with a stunning diamond bracelet that held great personal sentimental value.

It became known as "The Queen's Wedding Bracelet" and is one of the most valuable jewels in Her late Majesty's jewelery collection.

As mentioned by Hello!

the diamonds used in the bracelet were taken from an exquisite tiara that belonged to Philip's mother, Princess Alice of Battenberg.

She gave it to her son to create jewelry for the bride-to-be.

Princess Elizabeth's engagement necklace also contained diamonds from this tiara.

Philip then used the remaining jewels to personally design an Ardeco bracelet for his bride, which was made by London jeweler Philip Antrobus and presented to the princess on their wedding day.

The wedding gift remained a constant favorite of the Queen throughout her reign.

She once lent it to the then Duchess of Cambridge, Catherine, who wore the bracelet for the first time at a state banquet in honor of China's first couple in 2015.
