Former prosecutor Miralakbar Seyidov, who was convicted of fraud, was brought to criminal responsibility again.

According to information obtained by APA, the former prosecutor is accused of receiving 270,000 dollars by making false promises to two people.

One of the victims in the case is Hasan Aliyev, who used to be the chairman of the Binagadi District Court.

According to the indictment, Miralakbar Seyidov made a false promise to Hasan Aliyev, the judge of the same district, that he would help him to be appointed as the chairman of the court of one of the districts, while he was the district prosecutor of Binagadi, presenting himself as a person with wide connections.

He received $200,000 from a former judge for this.

In addition, Miralakbar Seyidov fraudulently seized the money of his friend Tahir Huseynov in the amount of 70,000 dollars.

Miralakbar Seyidov was brought to criminal responsibility some time ago for the mentioned acts.

A criminal case was initiated against him under Article 178.3.2 of the Criminal Code (fraud by causing a large amount of damage), and a non-custodial preventive measure was chosen against him during the investigation period.

According to the other information we received, the accused Miralakbar Seyidov paid the damage to Hasan Aliyev, the victim of the case, and a reconciliation was reached between the parties.

The damage to the other victim was not paid.

Currently, the case is under judicial investigation.

It should be noted that both the former prosecutor Miralakbar Seyidov and the victim, the former judge Hasan Aliyev, were previously convicted of fraud in separate cases.

He was given a suspended sentence.

In 2014, former judge Hasan Aliyev was charged with embezzlement by fraud.

After that, he was released from the position of judge of the Baku Court of Serious Crimes by the order of the President.

The former judge was sentenced to 7 terms of imprisonment in 2015 by the Ganja Serious Crimes Court.
