On July 24, 1993, an investigation was started on the application submitted to the district prosecutor's office that several Azerbaijani citizens were killed by Armenian military units in the area of ​​Saricali village of Aghdam district and buried in that area.

APA was informed about this by the Aghdam district prosecutor's office.

According to information, in connection with the investigation, on November 22, with the participation of a forensic expert, excavation works were carried out on the right and left sides of the Aghcabedi-Aghdam road passing through the Saricali village of the district, using special technical means.

During the excavations, 15 bones believed to belong to humans were found in the mentioned area and were packed and taken away for examination.

The investigation is currently ongoing.

According to the information provided to APA by the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, human bones were discovered during the excavations conducted in the area of ​​Saricali village of Aghdam region, which was freed from occupation, based on the information received on November 22, with the participation of police, prosecutor's office and security service employees.

They were probably killed and buried in 1992.

The bones have been handed over to forensic examination to determine who they belong to.
