Kabir Bedi's son committed suicide at the age of 26.

New Delhi :

Kabir Bedi's son Siddharth committed suicide in 1997.

Recently, the actor spoke openly on the death of his son.

The actor told how her death left him 'emotionally devastated' and even made him feel guilty to some extent.

Kabir Beti told how he wanted to write about his failures and successes in his autobiography, which inspired him to focus on this stage of his life.

Siddharth was the son of Kabir's first wife Protima, who was a classical dancer.

Siddhartha studied at Carnegie Mellon University in the 1990s.

Later he was diagnosed with schizophrenia.

He died in 1997 at the age of 26.

In a program of Aaj Tak, Kabir talked about his biography 'Stories I Must Tell'.

“Whatever I have written in the book, I have written from my heart.

I have also written in detail about my tragedies.

No one objected to it, because whatever I have written is the truth and they know it.

There is nothing to hide. 


He said, "I had ups and downs in my life. Went bankrupt, made mistakes, which I have written about in the book. Bad investments made me lose a lot. All this happened when my son was battling schizophrenia. Tried to stop her from committing suicide but I couldn't and I felt guilty about it. At the same time I went through financial crisis. I used to go for auditions and didn't know what to do. So many projects Got out of my hands. I stood up again and this is all part of my journey. Kabir Bedi made his Bollywood debut in 1971 with the film Hulchul.
