The campaign to collect funds for the audio book of Wladimir Matskevich, who is now behind bars, was started by his like-minded people and colleagues back in the summer.

Yesterday, a message appeared on the philosopher's page in social networks that the work on the project is finished and the collection of essays is now available for listening on the SoundCloud platform, writes Reform.by.

"Freedom and Thought: Essays on Civil Society" is a collection of essays by Wladimir Matskevich, which was written in December 2019 - January 2020.

In it, the author analyzes the foundations of civil society and the role in its development and the existence of such phenomena as public opinion, the media and the state.

He also analyzes how civil society relates to the nation, various actions and practices of public participation.

According to the opinion of the philosophical circle, the book will help to understand the events that took place in Belarus in 2020, as well as the current situation.

  • Uladzimer Matskevich is a public and political figure, TV presenter, founder and head of the Humanitarian Technologies Agency, the first chairman of the Council of the international consortium "EuroBelarus", the founder of the "Flying University" and a member of the main staff of the Coordination Council.
