Madame Tussauds has removed Kanye West's wax figure from the hall where visitors could see it, DPA reported.

This came after several companies, including Adidas, ended their partnerships with West and he dropped from Forbes magazine's list of billionaires because of the controversial remarks he made in public.

The model of the American rapper, who changed his name to Ye, has been moved to an archive by the museum.

"The figure of Ye (Kanye West) has been removed from the attraction floor in our archives," a spokeswoman for Madame Tussauds told the Press Association news agency.

"Everyone earns their place at Madame Tussauds London and we listen to our guests and the public who they expect to see."

Kanye West's wax figure was originally placed in the museum in 2015 alongside that of his then-wife Kim Kardashian.

In addition to the removal of his wax figure from Madame Tussauds, the artist was forcibly removed from the Los Angeles office of shoemaker Skechers, where he arrived unannounced, Reuters and AFP reported, citing a company statement.

Kim Kardashian asked the court to grant her a quick divorce

West and the people he came with were escorted to the exit by company officials after a brief conversation.

The purpose of the visit to the office is not disclosed.

The American rapper was ranked No. 1,513 on the Forbes Rich List earlier this year, with an estimated $2 billion fortune thanks to his fashion brands and Adidas deal.

However, on Tuesday, the German sportswear company announced it was discontinuing Yeezy, a fashion collaboration with West, because of the rapper's anti-Semitic remarks on social media.

Forbes now estimates that the artist's fortune is now $400 million - coming from "real estate, cash, his music catalog and a five percent stake in ex-wife Kim Kardashian's company called Skims."

Talent agency CAA has announced it has ended its relationship with West.

The fashion house "Balenciaga" also refused to cooperate with the 45-year-old performer, as well as other companies.

A finished documentary about Kanye West will also not be released for now.

The artist was criticized earlier this month for appearing in a blouse with the words "White Lives Matter" at the presentation of his latest collection at Paris Fashion Week.

This is in contrast to the famous "Black Lives Matter" slogan emblematic of anti-racism protests in the US in 2020.

In the past few days, his ex-wife Kardashian and members of her family have called for an end to the "horrific violence and rhetoric of hatred" against the Jewish community, DPA recalls.

Spotify CEO Daniel Ek told Reuters that West's comments were "terrible" but that his music would remain on the platform.
