According to him, the conclusion of the experts is that the actions of the medical team are fully consistent with the algorithm of the clinical pathway and the medical standard in obstetrics and gynecology.

According to the independent specialist in anesthesiology, the resuscitation measures were timely and correct.

Actions in the resuscitation plan were possible only in the hospital where they were performed.

The patient was properly transported to a medical facility in order to save her life.

The behavior of the medical teams that served the woman in labor before and after her admission to the hospital in Gorna Oryahovitsa was correct and timely.

This is evidenced by the fact that her child was born in good general condition.

Due to suspicions of DIK syndrome, the woman in labor was transported to the hospital in Veliko Tarnovo, where she was accompanied by an intensivist and a gynecologist.

DIC syndrome was listed as the cause of the young woman's death, explained Dr. Ivanov.

According to the legal consultant of the health facility, Kasim Mestan, the investigations into the case were initiated in order to establish whether a crime, the so-called medical error, had been committed.

"Immediately after the unfortunate incident, an investigation began by the District Prosecutor's Office and then by the IA "Medical Supervision".

He specified that the inspection covers the entire stay of the mother in labor in the medical facility.

The DIC syndrome of the parturient woman was detected about two hours after the section was performed.

This was done on the basis of clinical judgment and laboratory results, pointed out Dr. Ivanov.

He added that during the inspection carried out at the hospital in Veliko Tarnovo, where the young woman was admitted, no irregularities were found either.
