Among foreign diplomats, he became the first to take part in this ceremony.

This was announced on the Twitter page of the royal family.

"Today at Buckingham Palace, His Eminence Vadym Prystaiko presented his credentials as the Ambassador of Ukraine to the Court of St. James. This was the first presentation of credentials to His Majesty," the message reads.

This is an official ceremony during which the newly appointed ambassador or high commissioner presents the monarch with credentials.

He also hands over certificates of appreciation to his predecessor.

Letters are addressed to the king with a request to entrust the new ambassador or high commissioner.

The ambassador of Ukraine was accompanied by his wife Inna Prystaiko.

We will remind that Mr. Prystaiko was appointed ambassador to Great Britain by decree of President Volodymyr Zelenskyi on July 20, 2020.
