Yesterday, Buckingham Palace officially announced this special date that the monarch has chosen for his coronation.

We already wrote that this is the birthday of Charles's grandson - Archie, the son of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, who will just turn 4 years old.

In this way, the question arises as to why Charles chose this particular date for his coronation.

Royal fans are already furious, tweeting angry comments:

  • "So King Charles has set his coronation for May 6 next year ... Just in time for his grandson Prince Archie of Sussex's 4th birthday."

  • "Is the date of the King's coronation deliberately coincident with Archie's birthday?".

  • "Hmm, strange that the coronation falls on Prince Archie's birthday."

  • "The coronation of King Charles III and Queen Camilla will take place on 6th May 2023 - Archie's birthday. Great move Your Majesty."

Many write that the king follows the example of son Harry and his wife Meghan, deliberately choosing this date, because usually the Sussexes publish new photos or make important announcements just when some important announcements or photos are published by members of the British royal family, writes express.

Other fans assume that in this way the king demonstrates to Harry and Meghan that family is important to him and this date can become an olive branch for the couple.

"Coronation Day is also Archie's birthday. To me, it symbolizes that although the Royal Family is an institution, family will always be family," one fan wrote.

"I hope it's an olive branch from father to son and from king to prince," adds another.

It is not yet known whether Meghan and Harry will attend the coronation, despite their presence at the Queen's Jubilee and her funeral in September 2022.

The Sussexes have not yet commented on the official statement of Buckingham Palace.
