Due to US sanctions, Huawei lost its advantage in the mobile phone market. Foreign media broke the news that Huawei is developing a variety of ways to break through the US blockade, and plans to re-launch 5G mobile phones as soon as 2023.

The Financial Times, citing people familiar with the matter, reported that although Huawei has been blacklisted by the United States and cannot buy 5G mobile phone technology from the United States, Huawei has actually been studying strategies to avoid relevant sanctions.

It is reported that there are two main measures that Huawei may take at present. One is to redesign the mobile phone and use a less advanced chip produced by a Chinese factory that can support 5G.

Before being sanctioned by the United States, Huawei used to produce Kirin chipsets designed by its subsidiary HiSilicon and manufactured by TSMC.

The second temporary solution is to cooperate in the development of 5G-enabled mobile phone protective case products.

There are already such mobile phone protective cases on the market, one of which was developed by Shenzhen-based company Shuyuan Technology and contains an embedded SIM (eSIM) module with a chip capable of supporting 5G networking.

As for the United States, Huawei's 5G mobile phone is rumored to make a comeback, and the Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS) of the U.S. Department of Commerce said it has paid attention to relevant news.
