The new portrait, which shows four members of the royal family side by side in black mourning clothes, was taken at Buckingham Palace on the night before Queen Elizabeth II's funeral on September 18.

That night, they hosted world leaders in the palace who arrived for the state funeral of the monarch on September 19.

This is exactly the reception at which Meghan and Harry were unwelcome guests.

That evening, Catherine wore a Catherine Walker & Co coat dress with a huge bow and long sleeves, which the princess wore to the funeral of Prince Philip, husband of Queen Elizabeth II, last year.

Catherine also wore the same coat when she met the First Lady of Ukraine, Olena Zelenskaya, at Buckingham Palace.

Queen Camilla wore a black lace dress and looked very pretty too.

Well, the men were in black suits, white shirts and black ties.
