[Health Channel/Comprehensive Report] Australian research found that drinking 2-3 cups of coffee a day can not only live longer, but also reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease!

According to Science Daily, the study, which looked at coffee and cardiovascular disease incidence, and death from any cause, found that daily intake of trace to moderate amounts of ground coffee, instant coffee, and , decaffeinated coffee as a healthy lifestyle.

The National Health Administration recommends that the daily intake of caffeine should not exceed 300 mg for adults and 200 mg for pregnant women.

The study, published in the European Journal of Preventive Cardiology, used data from the UK Biobank to investigate the association between coffee type and cardiac arrhythmias, cardiovascular disease and death. People aged 40-69, including those with cardiovascular disease, were asked how many cups of coffee they drank per day and whether they drank ground coffee, instant coffee, or decaffeinated coffee.

The study divided "how much coffee to drink" into six levels: no, less than 1 cup, 1 cup, 2-3 cups, 4-5 cups and more than 5 cups per day.

Of these, 198,062 (44.1%) participants drank instant coffee, 82,575 (18.4%) used ground coffee, 68,416 (15.2%) drank decaffeinated coffee, and 100,510 (22.4%) did not Drink coffee.

Arrhythmia, cardiovascular disease and Mortality rates were compared, and the mean follow-up period was 12.5 years.

During study follow-up, 27,809 (6.2%) participants died.

All types of coffee are associated with fewer deaths from any cause.

Compared with no coffee, drinking 2-3 coffees a day had the greatest risk reduction, and the reduction in mortality varied by coffee type. Ground coffee reduced the risk of death by 27%, and decaffeinated coffee reduced the risk of death by 14%. , instant coffee reduces the risk of death by 27%.

Cardiovascular disease was diagnosed in 43,173 (9.6%) participants during the study period.

The results also showed that drinking 2-3 cups of coffee a day had the lowest risk, compared to non-coffee drinkers, ground coffee reduced cardiovascular disease risk by 20%, instant coffee reduced cardiovascular disease risk by 9%, and caffeine-free Coffee reduces cardiovascular disease risk by 6%.

While 30,100 (6.7%) participants were diagnosed with arrhythmias, 4-5 cups of ground coffee a day were associated with a 17% lower risk of arrhythmias and 2-3 cups a day, compared to non-coffee drinkers, by 12% %.

Study author Peter Kistler, a professor at the Baker Heart and Diabetes Institute in Australia, said caffeine is the best-known ingredient in coffee and contains more than 100 bioactive components.

It is likely that decaffeinated compounds are responsible for coffee consumption, cardiovascular disease and mortality.

Rather than banning all types of coffee in moderation, the findings suggest that drinking coffee can be seen as a way to start a healthy life for the heart.
