From September 15 to 27, 23,104 passengers were transported on the Absheron circular railway line on a weekly average daily, 81% of which were transported in the Baku-Pirshagi-Sumgait direction, and 19% in the Baku-Khirdalan-Sumgait direction. .
APA reports that this was reported in the information of "Azerbaijan Railways" CJSC.
The agency said that passenger congestion was observed in both directions.
"Although passenger congestion is currently observed in both directions, the Sumgait-Pirshagi-Baku direction is more crowded, so the Sumgait-Khirdalan-Baku train at 07:45 was diverted to the Sumgait-Pirshagi-Baku direction."
It should be noted that currently there are 9 electric trains in the existing train fleet of "Azerbaijan Railways" CJSC.
1 of them is moving in the direction of Baku-Ganja, 7 in the direction of Baku-Sumgait.
1 train is kept as a reserve train and is released on the line instead of the train sent for technical inspection.
It should be noted that currently, trains on the Absheron circular railway line run at the shortest intervals according to the number of existing train fleets.
Taking into account the density of passengers, work is being done in the direction of buying new trains.
