For 12 years, the Association of Nordic Countries has been awarding a language prize annually.

It is awarded to a person, institution, or organization that has contributed to the improvement of the understanding of Scandinavian languages.

This year, Margrethe II won the award.

Today, September 26, the award ceremony took place in Oslo.



The award was presented by Queen Sonja of Norway.

Both queens looked very impressive at the event.

Margrethe wore a lavender suit consisting of a dress and jacket and accessorized it with a massive gold pendant with matching stones.

And Queen Sonya wore a turquoise suit, over which she threw a scarf with a print.
