Modern heroes were present at the concert: teachers, nurses, emergency services workers and LGBTQ activists.

The president presented the musician with an award for his personal contribution to the fight against AIDS - the US National Humanitarian Medal.

This moved John so much that he burst into tears.

"I'm overwhelmed. I'm going to appreciate it. I'm not very good at taking compliments. But it's great to be here with so many people who have helped my AIDS fund and my heroes, those who work on the front lines every day," Elton said.

For the occasion, the first lady chose a blue glittery shirred midi dress, which sat judicially on her figure.

Mrs. Biden's spectacular outfit was completed with a hairstyle with curls, makeup with an accent on the eyes and elegant jewelry with pearls.
