The Reintegration Center of the Azerbaijan Children's Union-Children's Shelter was disinfected by the Republican Hygiene Epidemiology Center under the Ministry of Health at the initiative of the Medical Territorial Units Management Union.

In response to APA's inquiry, it was learned from TABIB that the children newly admitted to the shelter were placed in Children's Dermatology and Venereal Dispensary No. 3 on September 19.

Based on the analysis, the children were diagnosed with scabies.

Appropriate treatments of children were carried out and analyzes were taken again.

According to the results of the analysis, scabies was not detected and therefore they were returned to the shelter accompanied by their caretakers.

However, yesterday, TABIB sent a team of doctors to the shelter, and children with psychiatric and neurological problems were examined by a neuropathologist.

At the same time, a doctor's examination was conducted regarding the itch recorded in the children, scabies was denied, and dermatitis was detected.

Children diagnosed with dermatitis were admitted to Children's Dermatology and Venereal Dispensary No. 3 and their treatment continues.

It should be noted that a few days ago, the chairman of Azerbaijan Children's Union-Children's Shelter Reintegration Center, Kamala Agazade, shared on her social media account that a scabies-like skin disease was spreading among the children in the shelter, and they were sent to outpatient treatment before their treatment in the hospital was completed.
