Salman Khan once told Kumar Gaurav a bigger star than himself

New Delhi :

Salman Khan once talked about those actors whom he considered big stars.

He had said that 'Rajesh Khanna and Kumar Gaurav' are big stars for him.

In an earlier interview in 2017, Salman had said that if stardom is compared, he felt that he did not even have 10 percent of these actors.

Salman also praised Dilip Kumar and Amitabh Bachchan.

Rajesh Khanna gave 15 consecutive solo super-hits between 1969 and 1972.

He made his debut in 1966 with Aakhri Khat.

This was India's first official Oscar entry in 1967.

He worked in many films including Aradhana, Kati Patang, Guddi, Anand, Bawarchi.

He appeared with many other stars in Namak Haram.

At the same time, Kumar Gaurav, son of actor Rajendra Kumar, became an overnight star in the early 1980s with the film Love Story.

He later appeared in Teri Kasam, Star, Naam Aur Kaante.

In an interview with news agency PTI, Salman had said, "I don't think anyone is bigger than Dilip Kumar. After him there is Amitabh Bachchan, he is still working and is everywhere. You think we are people. Popularity hai toh (It is not true)... I think there is no one bigger than Rajesh Khanna and the other was Kumar Gaurav. I have seen stardom of both and it was unbelievable. So, when stardom is compared I guess I don't even have 10% of them."

On being called a 'superstar', Salman had said, "Acting is just a job. I live every moment of my life and do my best in every moment. Wherever you are, you always have to think about it." There should be honesty in every shot like how you got there and worked the way you did for your first film."

Salman will next be seen opposite Pooja Hegde in an upcoming action comedy film Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan.

Apart from this, he also has Tiger 3 opposite Katrina Kaif, which will release in theaters on April 21, 2023.

Soon he will be seen hosting the 16th season of Bigg Boss.
