British singer Elton John will perform a concert on Friday night at the White House, the Associated Press reported.

The event is called "A Night When Hope and History Rhyme".

The title of the event is a reference to a Seamus Heaney poem that President Joe Biden often quotes.

The event on the South Lawn of the White House is organized by A+E Networks and the History Channel.

Teachers, nurses, students, gay rights lawyers will be present.

President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden will address guests.

A large stage is installed on the south lawn.

Stars like Elton John avoided the White House during Donald Trump's tenure.

However, Joe Biden invites guests from the world of music.

James Taylor sang several songs at an event a few weeks ago related to drug prices and climate change, BTA adds.
