, a pensioner, was sentenced to 2.5 years in prison for comments in Telegram chats, the Dissidentby initiative writes.

During the hearing of the case in February 2022, the law enforcement officers, recognized by the court as victims, estimated their moral suffering at 5,000 rubles - at the same time, the accused resident of Vaukavysk had a pension of only 500 rubles.

This was not the only sentence for the pensioner - on October 26, 2021, Galina was already sentenced to 2 years of "home chemistry" under the defamatory article 369 of the Criminal Code.

Before the trial, the pensioner was held in prison for two months (from September 21 to November 21, 2021): she was initially detained under Article 342 of the Criminal Code.

Before retirement, she worked on the railway.

Galina Ivanovna was blamed for more than three dozen episodes: for six months, she wrote comments on the Telegram channel "Volkovysk dlya zhizni".

She was tried for a series of comments containing a negative assessment of Lukashenka, as well as "insulting his honor".

Also, according to the indictment, Galina wrote slander against security forces and officials.

The release was news for the entire family of the 70-year-old woman.

The exact reason for her release (amnesty or pardon) is unknown.
