Ranbir said, I have not seen the strength in men or women that Alia has

Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Kapoor's film Brahmastra has performed well at the box office.

The actors opened up about their personal and professional lives in an exclusive conversation with NDTV.

Ranbir Kapoor spoke about sexist reporting on wife Alia Bhatt's pregnancy announcement, saying, "Any criticism is just jealousy."

"One thing is clear and I am not saying that because she is my wife. Alia is probably the most important actress ever in the history of Indian cinema. 

 The work she does on screen or the way she carries herself, the value system she has, what she stands for, I haven't seen that strength in men or women and I think we should should be respected. 

During her pregnancy, Alia debuted in Hollywood and shot for the first films Heart of Stone and Rocky and Rani's love story.

She also accompanied Ranbir and director Ayan Mukerji in the promotion of Brahmastra.

Ranbir said that she remained together during the entire marketing of the film during pregnancy.

I think it's inspiring.

Alia Bhatt announced in June that she and Ranbir are going to have a baby. 

Let us inform that Alia and Ranbir's film Brahmastra is directed by Ayan Mukerji.

The film released in theaters on 9 September.

The film was a blockbuster at the box office.

The film is based on Indian mythology.

The film also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Nagarjuna and Mouni Roy.
