A three-legged crocodile built a nest for its children like this

Nothing is more important than a mother's love, and now to prove it, a video of a three-legged mother alligator taking care of her babies and building a home for them is grabbing attention online.

In this video shared on Facebook, it can be seen that the crocodile mother takes her babies to the nest with a limp.

The caption of the post read, "She made this big nest with sticks, twigs etc and now she is saving her babies with their lives with just 3 limbs."

He continued, "If this doesn't show you how incredibly attractive and resilient these creatures are, I don't know what will. They're completely misunderstood. After hatching it's all about being with your babies for two years." That's what it shows. I felt so blessed to see it."

The incident took place in Florida, USA.

This video has surprised social media users since it was shared.

One user wrote, "Nurture is instinctive for the species that practice it. Nurturing is an instinctive response for organisms that it is also instinctive."

Another wrote, "Super cool."

Meanwhile, speaking to Newsweek, Coleman M. Sheahy, a veterinarian at the Florida Museum of Natural History, explained that parental care is "extremely well developed" in alligators.

"The mothers build the nests, protect the nests from predators, and incubate the nests within an acceptable range of temperatures," Coleman said.

"This level of protection helps more babies survive," he said.

The vet explained that the gharial system has the advantage of providing parental care in that it increases the chances of some of the offspring becoming adults and thus, the female successfully transmits her genetic information to future generations.
