These days, in Cuba, the overwhelming heat makes the downpour (the long one, the strong one, because the short and timid one only brings more humidity and heat) to be received with gratitude, even with relief, especially if it refreshes and gives a breather to humans, animals and green areas.

Sometimes, like the one on Monday afternoon in Havana, they are violent, they carry a lot of water and wind and electric shocks that make many shudder.

Some take the opportunity to pick themselves up, some have fun and for others it is a setback.

While some want the refreshing effect to persist, others are grateful that the sun rises quickly (like today) and the waters go down faster to, for example, start the car.
