Protests, posts, comments, pompous statements to the press, then calm!

Oblivion covers everything.

It will also cover the case of the rape of the 11-year-old girl by five people.

Civic response is necessary, but it is only the beginning of civic awareness and the first support for victims and survivors of sexual violence.

Victims need support and understand that they are not alone!

Pompous statements, various requests, comments and proposals feed the ego of the individual, but do very little to help the victim!

Everyone gives opinions on how to act - this should be done, that should be done;

rigorous investigation is required, maximum punishment for these criminals, etc.

What should be done?

How much do we know about sexual abuse of children in Kosovo?

Do we have a credible institution that deals with the treatment of sexual violence?

What is the rate of sexual abuse of children in Kosovo?

No one knows – and will never know – the true extent of child sexual abuse in Kosovo.

For many reasons, this will always be unknown and hidden.

However, it is very important to have an accurate estimate of the number of victims and survivors of such abuse, as it provides a basis for policy at national and local levels.

This information and assessment would help design, provide and finance services aimed at preventing and responding to child sexual abuse and victim support.

Publishing reviews can also help victims and survivors of sexual violence know they are not alone and encourage them to come forward.

Data can be provided from two types of sources:

– Surveys conducted with the general public:

– Operational data collected by agencies in the child protection system or by NGOs supporting victims and survivors of child sexual abuse.

Dear citizens of my country, mass protests and reactions are necessary, they are the beginning of the civic reaction, but they are not enough.

What happens then, away from the eyes of the media and social networks, is evaluated as help and proper treatment for the victims.

Where are we as a society, how do we act then?

Who deals with these cases, how are they handled and what protections are provided to victims of sexual violence to testify?

Do the rapists receive deserved punishment or are they released!

How do they operate and who monitors these cases?

How do law enforcement agencies work?

The courts?

In many cases, the media becomes an ally of evil, blaming the victim and not the rapist;

the reaction fades and often the victim is left guilty, vulnerable and scarred for life!

Is this our Kosovo?

Do we want such a Kosovo?

We don't deserve this!

Therefore, let's learn and believe more, work and develop our country.

Let's make Kosovo even better, safer and dearer to everyone

In the end I will quote Mahatma Gandhi, one of the enlightened minds of humanity, who said: "You must not lose faith in humanity.

Humanity is like the ocean;

if some spots of the ocean are dirty, the ocean does not become dirty.”
