Ruse is in 10th place in terms of COVID morbidity in the country

Already at the end of July, the districts falling into Stage 1 of the plan to deal with the pandemic became 19 - in these settlements there was an increase in the intensity of the spread of COVID-19 and an increase in the occupancy of hospital beds by patients with SARS-CoV -2.

One of the first actions of the caretaker minister, Dr. Asen Medzhidiev, was to reduce the period of validity of the covid measures introduced in Sofia until the end of the month, as well as to cancel the mandatory wearing of masks in areas with a high prevalence of coronavirus - masks remained mandatory only in health and social facilities and in public transport.

He announced that another change has been made to the Pandemic Action Plan, creating a staff of specialists that will meet every Tuesday and announce the measures immediately.

The measures themselves will not be introduced by the regional inspections, but by order of the minister.

From August 25, the wearing of masks in public transport has been discontinued for the whole country.

Masks remain mandatory for all types of health facilities (hospitals, pharmacies, opticians) and for social homes.
