Liger lost so much in OTT rights

New Delhi :

There was a lot of ruckus about Vijay Deverakonda's debut in Bollywood.

But a small bang came out of the big packet and the film seems to be getting battered at the box office.

Where Vijay Deverakonda worked hard for the film, but due to the absurd story and weak direction, the film neither landed in the hearts nor minds of the audience.

But now the news has come that Liger has been bought by the OTT platform.

Disney Plus Hotstar has bought the OTT rights of the film.

The film will be released on OTT after eight weeks.

It is being said in media reports that Disney Plus Hotstar has bought the film for around Rs 65 crore.

But if we go back a little, 200 crores were offered to release the film on OTT.

In July 2021, a news came in which it was said that Puri Jagannadh had received an offer of 200 crores to release Liger directly on OTT.

The reaction of Vijay Deverakonda also came on this and he wrote, 'It is very less.

I will earn more in the cinema house than this.

But now this decision of the makers seems wrong because with the OTT rights, the film's earnings figure does not seem to be going so big.

Too little.

I'll do more in the theaters.

According to Box OfficeIndia.com, the film earned Rs 1.25 crore through previews on Thursday, Rs 4.50 crore on Friday and Rs 4.25 crore on Saturday.

In this way, the film has earned Rs 10 crore in Hindi in three days.

In this way, good news is not coming from any zone for the film and there is a big setback for Vijay Deverakonda and the makers.
