In the Municipality of Kamenica, agricultural development is being considered as a primary opportunity for economic development.

The farmers of this area are looking for more institutional support for the development of agriculture, especially in this period when the needs for local products are increasing.

Depending on the geographical position, farmers of the Municipality of Kamenica are devoting themselves to develop agriculture, both in horticulture and in the establishment of orchards.

"Demands can be met, there is a possibility that they will be excessive.

Until now, the sale has been good, but we have been stuck in sales for a little over a week", said farmer Beqir Shabani.

"If you make it compulsory to fry the tomato or put a lot of pesticides on it, you sell it to a child, it is very harmful and for that I call it a crime", said farmer Ermal Shabani.

"Something that is very important, all the products that are made here in our country, in my hometown, but in general in the highlands - are healthy products and we know what products we consume", said the orchardist Faik Avdyli.

Officials of the Directorate of Agriculture in Kamenica say that they are committed to supporting the agricultural sector, from which great benefits are expected.

"A farmer benefits if he takes it and then he mainly engages the members of the family, which can provide for that family for three or four members a salary so to speak for each member.

It is a sector that creates perhaps the easiest and fastest income for the family and for an agricultural economy", said the director of Agriculture in Kamenica, Shpend Morina.

The use of ecological environments for local products leads to increased interest from farmers, while institutional support remains an encouragement for the development of agriculture in this region./RTK/
