How Union Ministers celebrated 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign

Ahead of the 75th anniversary of India's independence, Union Ministers celebrated the 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign by hoisting the tricolor across the country on Saturday.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah and his wife Sonal Shah unfurled the Indian flag at their residence.

Shah wrote on Twitter, "The tricolor is our pride. It unites and inspires all Indians. On PM @narendramodi ji's call of #HarGharTiranga, today hoisted the tricolor at my residence in New Delhi and gave all my efforts for the motherland. Tributes paid to our brave heroes who made some sacrifices."

Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman also shared a photograph of her family participating in the campaign at her residence in Bengaluru.

Ms Sitharaman wrote, "#GharGharTiranga with family at our residence in Bengaluru."

The Center has urged citizens to hoist the tricolor at their homes from August 13 to 15 to celebrate the 75th anniversary of India's independence.

There is no restriction on the timing of flag display.

External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar shared some of his photographs while participating in the 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign.

Shri Jaishankar wrote, Let us all enthusiastically participate in the #HarGharTiranga campaign and hoist the tricolor in our homes from 13th August to 15th August.

Minister of Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari also hoisted the Indian flag at his residence on Saturday.

Gadkari wrote, "The tricolor that binds everyone to the thread of unity is the pride of every Indian! Unfurled the tricolor at my residence in Nagpur today as part of the #HarGharTiranga campaign launched by respected Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi ji."

Union Minister of Housing and Urban Affairs and Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas Hardeep Singh Puri celebrated the campaign with the crew of his flight to New York.

The government has amended the Flag Code of India so that the tricolor can be displayed day and night in the open and in different houses or buildings.
