The last journey taken out on the death of a pet dog

A family living here took out such a last journey on the death of their pet dog that everyone was surprised to see and people's eyes were filled.

Odisha: A family in Paralakhemundi bid a tearful goodbye to their pet dog, Anjali, & performed its last rites as per traditional rituals yesterday when it died after being with them for 17 yrs.

Owner of the dog, Tunnu Gouda also took out a funeral procession for his pet.

According to the information, a family living in Paralakhemundi had raised a dog named 'Anjali' 17 years ago.

He was living with this family since then.

Such a relationship developed between this family and Anjali that she became like a member of the family.

Anjali was also involved in every small decision.

The family used to take care of him in every little thing.

Now after 17 years when Anjali died, the family was completely broken and wept bitterly.

The family members organized a grand event to bid him a final farewell.

Anjali's unique funeral procession was taken out with great fanfare with bandwagon.

The dog's owner Tunnu Gowda himself took his body in his hands to the cremation ground and was cremated according to Hindu rituals.
