A man who set up an "ugly" roadblock in front of his house is now planning new ways to stop people from parking on the street after his self-imposed measures.

Derek Woodacer has been taking on parents who used the road to send their children to St John's Primary School in Tyldesley, Greater Manchester, for several years now, as he believes they should not park in his road.

The 65-year-old Englishman has also had a conflict with his neighbors regarding this matter, until one of them said that the blockade imposed was able to prevent emergency services and garbage collection trucks from accessing the road, reports the Daily Mail. The Telegraph reports.

Woodacer as a result of the 3 year "battle" has become infamous on Commonside Road in Mosley Common.

The dispute has led to fights, vandalism, complaints and great financial cost according to Mr.

Woodacer.

Derek Woodacer stated: “I moved here 5 years ago, and it's an unapproved road by the council, so they don't deal with it at all.

When you saw it for the first time you said 'what the hell is this road'".

"In the first week of my stay, many people who frequented the street because of the school were parked.

My parents used to insult me when I told them that they can't park there.

We have to pay for the road repair, and it costs a lot," Derek continued.

Then he said: "I met with every resident of this street, and they told me all the problems.

There were various attacks and damage to property, and we wanted to fix the problem."
