Alia Bhatt has co-produced Darling with Shah Rukh Khan's Red Chillies Entertainment.

Alia Bhatt spoke to NDTV about her new film Darlings.

Alia told why she chose this film as a producer. 

Alia said, "It was on my mind. Maybe it was the right time to produce the kind of films in which I have a pivotal role. Or look at the story in a slightly different way, I don't know. It worked." .When I heard the story of Darlings, it was very surprising for me. The way the genre changed a lot, very quickly a very unique story. It all happened naturally, where I felt that if I acted in it If I am doing it then I should also produce it. And I suggested Gaurav Verma of Red Chillies Entertainment. He came with the script for me and was very supportive too. He said that we should absolutely do it together. Everything happened". 

Along with this, Alia also told what she does when she wears the director's hat.

Alia said, "I am very attached to my films. But when you are more attached to the film than the actor, then you are doing a lot. When I am acting, I go back home after doing my work. But this It was the first time when I was producing a film. And when you are associated with a film apart from being an actor, you have a lot of things to do." 

Let me tell you, Darlings of Alia Bhatt, Vijay Varma and Shefali Shah is releasing on Netflix on August 5.
