38 patients with COVID are currently being treated in hospitals in Plovdiv and the region.

Of these, 35 were admitted to the Infectious Diseases Clinic of St. George Medical Center in the regional center, two to the Infectious Diseases Department of Dr. Kiro Popov Medical Center in Karlovo and one to the hospital in Asenovgrad.

367 out of all 405 from coronavirus in Plovdiv and the district are receiving home treatment.

The number of people infected with COVID-19 in the country continues to rise

"Only 9% of the sick are treated in hospitals. At this stage, it is not necessary to open new beds in the health facilities," said the head of the "Supervision of Infectious Diseases" directorate, Dr. Milena Panayotova.

In recent days, there has been an increase in the number of people infected with COVID in Plovdiv and the region.

However, most of them are being treated at home, as their condition is not serious. 

 There are enough free beds in the Plovdiv infectious disease clinic and in the Karlovy Vary infectious disease department to accommodate coronavirus patients.
