Many of us have been in a situation where we took a "nap" while on a bus ride, especially after a long day at work.

However, a passenger is likely to be more careful in the future as he ended up locked inside the vehicle, Telegraph reports.

According to British media, the passenger woke up to find himself alone and in the dark, with the bus driver nowhere to be seen.

Worse, the vehicle was locked, leaving him trapped inside.

Panicked, the sleepy individual began to look for ways to escape, turning to social networks for help.

The anonymous person, who is believed to live in Aberdeen, Scotland, asked for help under the username u/SignatureLabel, sharing a photo from inside the deserted bus.

And many of the commenters couldn't help but feel a little amused by the situation, with one person joking: "You live here now."

Although many people simply could not believe that the bus driver would simply drive off without first checking the vehicle properly, a number of others have said they have found themselves in similar situations.
