Pop music legend Michael Jackson was born on August 29, 1958 in Gary, Indiana.

Today (June 25) is 13 years since his death, and for the nationwide audience he has been known as: author, composer, producer and also as a dancer.

He has no doubt been one of the greatest artists of all time.

He died on June 25, 2009 at his home in Los Angeles from a heart attack.

Meanwhile, the memorial on his life and work was held on July 7, 2009 at Staples Center, which was attended by a family service at Forest Lawn Memorial Park's Hall of Liberty.
